Natural Health Awareness Day Met
With Enthusiasm Across The Country
Tens of thousands of health consumers
are reached during national day of action.
On Saturday, September 10, activists across
the country participated in Natural Health Awareness
Day in response to aggressive lobbying by the pharmaceutical
industry for anti-natural health legislation currently
pending in Congress. Hundreds of health food stores
and members of Dr. Rath's Health Alliance participated
in the event across the nation.

At House of Nutrition in Willow Glen, California, early
morning coffee drinkers were greeted with banners proclaiming
that "Health For All by 2020" is possible, and balloons
that declared "High Alert." As put by one middle-aged
woman who signed a petition at the health food store's
table, "Of course I want to be able to make my
own choices when it comes to health. I'm shocked that
my very right to use supplements is at risk. Thank you
for having this information out."

Corpus Christi, Texas Alliance activist Frank Fregoso
said enthusiasm was high there as well. "It was a slam,"
said Fregoso, the owner of Tex Mex Curios, a local store.
"We were inundated with people. Even the media showed.
The local NBC affiliate came out and interviewed me."
Frank said, "Reaction was a hundred percent positive.
Everyone told me they were so glad we did this. They
said 'Big industry is trying to control everything.'
Everything was positive, positive, positive. Over four
hundred of the personal letters to the Congressmen were
signed. About 360 petition signatures were signed. I've
got a giant stack of signatures, and every day we are
still collecting them."

At New Morning, the largest health food store in Woodbury,
Connecticut, 80 percent of the people who approached
an Alliance table were "enthusiastic" about the cause,
according to Serafina Corsello, M.D., who helped at
the tables.
"Some people were irate about the situation, but they
didn't know what to do," said Corsello, author of The
Ageless Woman and a member of Dr. Rath's Health Alliance.
"Rath gave them the tools."
At Nature's Finest health food store in St. Petersburg,
Florida, and Sunshine Health in Seminole, Florida, reception
to Natural Health Awareness Day was so strong that organizer
Frankye Brooks ran out of materials.
"We brought 500 envelopes [for letters to send to Congress],"
said Brooks. "At one point, we realized we didn't have
enough letters, and had 200 more made. We kept going
until we completely ran out of supplies at 4 p.m."
At the "Power to the Peaceful" festival in San Francisco,
thousands gathered to celebrate peaceful ways to heal
nations and themselves. A booth there with Natural Health
Awareness Day materials enjoyed constant traffic and
participation all day. Hundreds of signatures were added
to petitions calling for vitamin freedom.
We are celebrating the results from the first
Natural Health Awareness Day, and looking forward to
even greater results on November 12, 2005.
Millions of lives were touched on September 10, and
thousands of letters and petitions were signed. Due
to the overwhelming response to the September 10, 2005,
Natural Health Awareness Day, there will be another
one held on Saturday, November 12, 2005.
There are more than 100 million daily consumers of
natural health products in America. That means there
are at least 100 million reasons for YOU to take part
in the November 12 Natural Health Awareness Day events.
If you were a part of the September 10th event, you
already know how eager people are to hear about the
threats to our health rights and what we can do, together,
to protect our rights. We encourage you to join with
us again on November 12 for this second day of nation-wide
activism. We also welcome those of you who were unable
to participate in the first NHAD events, but would like
to participate in the November 12, 2005 events.
The time to act is NOW! Call
