Cellular
Health Formula™
EpiQuercican Healthy
cells produce enzymes that temporarily digest connective tissue
so that these cells can move through the body to renew organs
and other tissues. In the case of a serious health condition,
this same enzymatic process must be inhibited so that excessive
cell growth does not occur and the health of organs and other
tissues is maintained.
Laboratory
research confirms that the following nutrients work together
synergistically to inhibit excessive enzymatic activity and
strengthen connective tissue to maintain normal cell growth:
- Quercetin
- Vitamin
C
- Lysine
- Proline
- Standardized
green tea extract with 80% polyphenols
As
part of the Normal Cell Growth Maintenance program,
EpiQuercican provides essential nutrients that
inhibits enzymatic activity and supports connective tissue stability when used
in combination with Vitacor®
Plus®, the multivitamin foundation of Dr. Rath's
Cellular Health Programs.*
- Quercetin
is a flavonoid commonly found in nature which belongs to the group of phytobiologicals (biologically active plant
substances). Large amounts of this important plant nutrient can be found in apples, citrus fruits and onions.
Quercetin is an antioxidant capable of protecting millions of the body cells against damage by free radicals.
It supports a healthy function of all cells including the cardiovascular system and optimum immunity. Quercetin
works in synergy with EGCG, an important component in green tea. Therefore the protective benefits of EGCG in our
bodies are improved even further.
- Vitamin
C is essential for enhancing the stability of the connective
tissue by supporting collagen production.* Its lipid soluble
form, ascorbyl palmitate protects cells and promotes healthy
cellular development.* The human body does not produce Vitamin
C.
- Lysine
and Proline are the building blocks of collagen and elastin
fibers that strengthen connective tissue.* In addition,
lysine can be an effective enzymatic blocker, preventing
the excessive degradation of connective tissue.* Although
proline is produced by the body in limited quantities, lysine
is not. The stability of the connective tissue depends on
optimal daily intake of these two key amino acids.
- Epigallocatechin
Gallate (EGCG) is an important polyphenolic compound of
green tea. In addition, EGCG is a powerful antioxidant capable
of neutralizing free radicals and preventing cell damage.
EGCG also stimulates detoxification systems through selective
induction and modification of phase I and phase II metabolic
enzymes.
